::Day 5::
Capris, with again, more layered tops ;-), now paired with a shirt sash-turned neck-scarf, a scrap fabric head-band knotted on one side on the top, and white lacy ballet flats. This outfit has 1950's retro written all over it. Originally it was pieced with a denim jacket with the sleeves rolled up to the elbow, but as the day progressed, I had to give it up (I live on a tropical island- so there aren't many reasons to wear jackets besides simply style or when grocery shopping in the frozen goods section- brr!).
Wow, it's hard to believe that the last day of The Amy Challenge has come! To be honest, I had it in my heart to cheat on more than one occasion, but was then convicted to follow through. :P The challenge was more of a challenge then I thought it would be. With each new combination and piecing together of items, I really had to use some creativity (as I'm sure some of you experienced), and amazingly enough, some of the looks really worked! I had fun, and I'm inspired to be a lot more creative with what I have more often, and not only "beautifully make-do", but joyfully make-do!
Any thoughts, sisters?

Hey,
Just a quick question where do you buy most of your clothes. Mainly skirts and shirts. I really need to buy more to be able to mix and match. Thanks....
I agree. I should be more joyful about making do with what I have. I buy clothes way too much, way too often. I'd save a lot of money right there if I cut back on that and just did more with what I already have. :) Great challenge, thank you for hosting it. :) Quick question here also. Where do you get your flats? I love flats but anymore the ones I find are just really cheap feeling and very uncomfortable. Mainly the uncomfortable part is the problem I have. Any ideas? Thank you again. :)
You should do a part 2 of this challenge. :) I'm not sure if I misunderstood or not, but I thought that we were to post each day with a photo during the challenge. Of course as I said on my blog I was on vacation so that kind of threw me off, but I didn't notice that anyone else had post pictures. Did I do it right? Sorry it was done in such a hurry. :( Would love to do it again- and this time put a little more effort in my hair too. lol ;) Once again, thanks for hosting.
You are adorable! I just came over for a quick visit as we are still on the road, but I am blessed to see your sweet "amy spirit" shining through....love it!
By the way, where did you get your cute denim skirt? Very adorable!!
Blessings!
Joy
I will have to look up the places you suggested for flats! :) Hope to find a good pair soon. Even if 'boot weather' is coming up...lol I still love my flats way more than boots. :)
